About the role
- Data Governance Lead ensuring compliance and data quality within Davy's financial services. Collaborating on governance policies and leading data quality initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation of data governance policies to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with all areas of the organisation to develop and implement practical solutions and drive data governance best practices.
- Lead data quality initiatives for key datasets (risk, finance, customer, product)
- Capture data lineage and documentation for critical reporting
- Support the business glossary, critical data element definitions, and data catalogue processes
- Participate in projects and deliver ad hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
- 5+ years data governance experience, ideally in a financial services environment
- Strong understanding of data governance, controls, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS 239, the GDPR, EU AI Act)
- A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data and data governance tools is an advantage, e.g. SQL. Snowflake, Power BI, Informatica, OneTrust, Purview.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver complex information clearly and professionally.
- Proactive and collaborative approach, with confidence to build relationships and engage stakeholders across the organisation.
