About the role
- Analytics Engineer crafting advanced data models using BigQuery and Snowflake for Dasa. Collaborating in a dynamic environment to innovate healthcare solutions for millions.
Responsibilities
- Advanced Data Modeling: Build and maintain complex data models in BigQuery and Snowflake, applying dimensional modeling techniques and performance optimization.
- Development with Dataform/dbt: Develop data transformation pipelines using Dataform (preferred) or dbt, ensuring modularity and code reuse.
- Quality and Testing: Implement automated data tests and ensure rigorous technical documentation for each table and business rule developed.
- Automation and CI/CD: Operate and evolve deployment pipelines, ensuring production changes are safe and validated via Git.
- Code Review and Support: Perform peer code reviews and support mid-level and junior analysts with day-to-day technical challenges.
Requirements
- SQL Expert: Absolute mastery of SQL for complex transformations, window functions, and cost/performance optimization.
- Experience with Dataform or dbt: Strong hands-on experience with at least one of these transformation frameworks.
- Cloud Data Warehousing: Proven experience with BigQuery (partitioning, clustering) and/or Snowflake.
- Engineering Culture: Proficiency with Git (version control), basic CI/CD practices, and data governance concepts.
- Problem-Solving Profile: Ability to take a complex business problem and translate it into an efficient table architecture.
- Desired:
- Python: Knowledge for task automation and API integration.
- Cloud Run / Docker: Familiarity with infrastructure concepts for orchestrating data processes.
- Data Architecture: Knowledge of different methodologies (Star Schema, Data Vault, or OBT).
