About the role

  • Events Marketing Manager managing strategy and execution of trade shows for education technology company Curriculum Associates. Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to drive lead generation through successful events.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution for assigned national and large regional trade shows and partner-hosted events (e.g., Ellevation, Stile)
  • Develop comprehensive trade show plans covering timelines, session strategy, speaker management, staffing models, and onsite run-of-show documentation
  • Lead cross-functional trade show planning with Marketing, Sales, Product, A/V, IT, Platform Design, and external agencies
  • Serve as onsite trade show lead, providing live support across registration, general sessions, breakouts, exhibitor areas, and virtual components
  • Manage trade show platforms and technology, including registration, mobile apps, session streaming, and virtual/hybrid tools
  • Oversee trade show vendor relationships and contracts
  • Manage trade show budgets and forecasts, tracking expenses against plan
  • Partner with demand generation and sales teams to drive trade show attendance and lead capture
  • Build and manage trade show registration sites and communications in Cvent

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience in the event industry
  • 1 or more years as an indirect supervisor or similar experience in trade show/event planning
  • 1 or more years of experience with virtual solutions/platforms in meeting planning or similar technical experience
  • Associate degree in business discipline or additional work experience typically equivalent to education
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex trade shows with multiple stakeholders and moving parts
  • Strong level of intensity and commitment to providing a high level of customer service
  • Willingness to travel, work nights/weekends
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with Cvent, ExhibitDay, and/or other event management tools
