About the role
- Manager of Public Policy Operations driving policy events and outputs at CSA. Overseeing project managers and ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with organizational strategy.
Responsibilities
- This role is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of Public Policy Centre outputs including high-impact events, panels, workshops, and publications within CSA Standards.
- Provides operational leadership across the Public Policy team, managing workflows, resources, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure high quality outputs are delivered on time.
- Manages the Public Policy Project Managers and maintain strong working relationships with Senior Public Policy Managers and external vendors.
- Leads and coordinates workflows between policy publications and events to ensure alignment of timelines and outputs (e.g., resource allocation, potential risks).
- Leads the policy report publication process to ensure a high editorial standard (e.g., copy edit, design, translation, etc.).
- Leads the development and execution of public policy events (e.g., contacting panelists, booking venues, coordinating logistics).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, communications, project management, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in project management, production, operations or related roles, ideally in research, government or nonprofit setting.
- 3-5 years in a leadership role that includes coaching and developing a team.
- Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Bilingual in English and French would be an asset.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management software, as well as web-based meeting platforms such as Teams, Zoom, etc.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation) – communicates effectively and professionally.
