About the role

  • Social Media Specialist executing and improving Coral Gardeners' social media strategy across all channels. Driving engagement around coral conservation and crafting engaging content.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and continuously improve the social media strategy
  • Ideate and publish content across all social channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
  • Grow followers and engagement across social media to bring more people into the movement
  • Handle community management across all platforms, monitoring conversations and engaging authentically with the community
  • Proactively stay up to date with social media trends, algorithm changes, and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure cohesive execution of content
  • Ensure all social media content is aligned with brand guidelines and visual identity
  • Champion Coral Gardeners' tone of voice and craft engaging copy for social media content
  • Develop performance reports with recommendations to optimize content and strategy

Requirements

  • Fluency in both English and French is mandatory.
  • At least 3 years of proven work experience in social media.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Passion for social media, digital trends, and content creation.
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills in English.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of or passion for ocean conservation is a strong bonus.
