About the role

  • Social Media Intern for nonprofit enhancing community engagement and online presence through social media management and content creation.

Responsibilities

  • Help manage and monitor RCRC social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram
  • Assist with scheduled posts, stories, sharing, and community engagement
  • Respond to comments and messages and help maintain a positive online presence
  • Support the promotion of events
  • Assist in developing short-form video content and engaging posts
  • Collaborate with volunteers to post pre-designed materials
  • Track basic engagement metrics and provide feedback on post performance
  • Help identify opportunities to increase volunteer participation and community partnerships
  • Assist with basic graphic design, photography, or short video editing when needed

Requirements

  • Interest in social media marketing, communications, nonprofit work, or community engagement
  • Familiarity with Instagram and Facebook platforms
  • Creative, organized, and proactive
  • Basic knowledge of Canva, video editing, or social media analytics is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for supporting community initiatives.
