About the role
- Solution Architect advising stakeholders on secure and scalable software solutions. Own technical engagement and develop modern software using latest architectures and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Advise stakeholders and translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
- Shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of strategic solutions.
- Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
- Manage how decisions in each area affect the overall solution.
- Develop deep expertise in enterprise systems architecture, systems integration and cloud technologies.
- Capture and share best practices within the solution architect community and understand the specific business domain you will be working in.
- Design and develop modern software solutions using the latest architectures and technologies.
- General understanding and experience with cloud solutions (preferable Azure).
- Apply CI/CD and Agile best practices, as well as enterprise architecture and integration patterns.
- Design systems that use microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka, infrastructure as code (IaC), API gateways, and so on.
- Ensure production readiness (high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring, logging, etc.).
- Collaborate with senior client stakeholders and represent GFT in technical discussions.
- Translate business requirements into secure, scalable and reliable solutions.
- Support pre-sales activities and contribute to solution offerings.
- Experience in financial services and data/event-driven architectures would be an advantage.
Requirements
- Experience in designing and building software solutions using modern architectures and technologies
- Experience in leveraging cloud solutions with one of leading, public cloud providers: AWS/GCP/Azure
- Expert knowledge and experience of Continuous Integration & Delivery, Agile principles and practices
- Familiarity with and ability to design microservice architectures, containerization, Kubernetes, Kafka, infrastructure as code, service mesh, API gateways
- Understanding of system production readiness concerns and NFRs: HA, DR, logging and monitoring
- Advanced experience and knowledge across various aspects of IT, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data management, budgeting, and governance
- Ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable solutions
- Excellent communication skills that will allow you to represent GFT within a customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel within the company
- Ability to work independently with senior stakeholders in the client organisation
- Previous experience in building systems for financial industry would be a big plus
- Experience in domain driven development, event driven architecture, data specific architectures is a big plus
