About the role
- QA Engineer responsible for testing and quality assurance of systems at GFT Poland. Collaborating with teams and maintaining test processes within software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Work on testing and quality assurance of systems developed by the company, taking ownership of test planning and execution across the development lifecycle
- Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test documentation
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for backend and frontend systems
- Execute manual and automated tests, analyze results, and report defects and quality metrics
- Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and other QA engineers to ensure high product quality
- Continuously improve test processes, tools, and automation frameworks
- Participate in CI/CD processes and support continuous testing practices
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, and SoapUI
- Support BDD testing activities using Cucumber
- Use SQL queries to validate data and support backend testing
- Manage test code and documentation using version control systems (Git)
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of commercial experience in software testing
- Practical knowledge of various testing techniques and methodologies
- Strong analytical skills, objectivity, and problem-solving mindset
- Basic programming experience in at least one language: Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
- Experience or strong interest in test automation and performance testing
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA processes
- Everyday experience with version control systems (Git)
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA
- Ability to create clear test documentation and reports
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, for communication with international clients.
- Nice to have: Practical experience with TDD and/or BDD approaches, Knowledge of CI/CD processes, API testing experience, Experience with backend automation tools (Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI), Experience with frontend automation testing, Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, Experience working with Java, Python, or JavaScript in testing projects.
