About the role
- Mobile QA Consultant ensuring quality of mobile applications throughout development lifecycle. Designing tests, collaborating with teams, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the highest quality of mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms throughout the development lifecycle
- Design, execute, and document manual tests, including functional, regression, and UI/UX testing
- Create, maintain, and extend automated UI test scripts for mobile applications using existing frameworks (e.g. Appium, XCUITest, Espresso)
- Report, track, and verify defects in close collaboration with developers and the Product Owner
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and work daily with version control systems (Git/Bitbucket)
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases and non-standard defects
- Validate backend data using SQL queries to ensure data correctness and consistency
Requirements
- 1–3 years of commercial experience in testing native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android)
- Hands-on experience with manual testing of mobile applications
- Practical knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Swift, Kotlin)
- Experience with mobile test automation tools and frameworks
- Good understanding of CI/CD processes and continuous integration environments
- Very good knowledge of Git, including working with Bitbucket repositories
- Ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queries (SELECT, JOIN)
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in agile teams
- Solid knowledge of testing techniques and test types (functional, regression, UI testing)
- Strong exploratory testing skills
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
