About the role

  • Program Business Consultant providing business planning services for programs at Connecticut Children’s. Strengthening impact and growth through strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide business planning services to programs to strengthen their impact and growth.
  • Perform special projects including researching a defined problem or opportunity, performing an analysis, documenting a plan, identifying a resource, etc.
  • Work closely with Office leadership to advance strategic goals of strengthening programs.
  • Maintain relationships with program leaders and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive business planning.
  • Operate effectively in ambiguous situations and maintain commitment to values and mission of Connecticut Children.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health administration or related field
  • At least three years of healthcare experience. Experience with pediatric organizations/population.
  • Experience navigating issues of cultural humility, equity, diversity, and inclusion desired.
  • Bilingual preferred: English/Spanish
  • Knowledge of sectors and initiatives relevant to child health and wellbeing
  • Knowledge of population health needs assessment, research, and outcomes
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology for identification of health needs and social determinants of health
  • Knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles for continuous improvement
  • Data collection, management, and analysis skills related to business planning, strategy, innovation, sustainability, and measures/metrics.
  • Strong computer literacy in PC Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
