About the role
- Senior Accounting Analyst ensuring compliance with accounting standards at Comerc Energia. Responsible for financial statements preparation and internal audits overseeing.
Responsibilities
- Post accounting entries, ensuring correct classification and compliance with applicable standards;
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts by comparing balances with supporting documentation, investigating and resolving any discrepancies;
- Calculate equity method adjustments and investment accounting;
- Prepare the Group’s individual and consolidated financial statements (level 1);
- Support internal and external audits and inspections according to the established schedule, providing information and documents, analyzing and discussing discrepancies, and implementing corrections;
- Organize and verify all documentation related to accounts (assets and liabilities);
- Prepare reports;
- Analyze the main variances in trial balance balances (assets, liabilities, and income) and provide explanations to support other areas of the Group.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields;
- Relevant experience in accounting;
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills;
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Postgraduate degree in a related field (preferred);
- Experience with Protheus ERP.
