About the role

  • Sales Associate for Coinbase marketing products and services globally to protocol teams and token issuers. Driving client acquisition and managing relationships in the crypto industry.

Responsibilities

  • Market Coinbase’s suite of products & services to protocol teams and token issuers on a global basis
  • Provide white-glove sales, trading, relationship management coverage for token issuers
  • Structure, negotiate, and execute agreements for custodial, trading, financing, staking and promotional products
  • Assist senior team members in generating, filtering, and pursuing leads and responding to inbound opportunities
  • Communicate and align with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with product leaders to synthesize product feedback from clients to help inform product roadmap
  • Identify broader cross selling opportunities and leverage other SME’s in the team
  • Drive client acquisition and manage a portfolio of VIP global clients, ensuring strong, long-lasting relationships.
  • Build rapport and deepen connections with existing clients through frequent, proactive communication, and relationship expansion

Requirements

  • 3+ years relevant experience, preferably in a sales/business development role for a crypto company, trading or custody environment, traditional finance sales (i.e. investment banking), and/or enterprise sales.
  • Fierce passion for the rapidly evolving crypto industry, with a commitment to staying current on the latest trends and innovations.
  • Strong team collaboration - This role crosses all functions of Coinbase (Platform, Consumer and Institutional) and across all Product, Legal, Marketing, and Sales. It is critical that this individual has strong team-working skills.
  • Driven - Individual will need to be a self-starter and motivated to push for results without micro-management.
  • Entrepreneurial - This individual will bring new ideas and methods to the table.
  • Creative dealmaking and commercial opportunity identification.
  • Strong strategic thinking, client-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal communication: you can break down complex subjects into simple, logical language.
  • Experience working cross functionally with product, engineering, finance, production, legal, and data.
