About the role

  • Partner Program Specialist managing partnerships and driving engagement for Cloudflare in the Japanese market. Collaborating with global teams to align business goals and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the owner of the PowerUp program and related partner benefits in Japan, including auditing and reporting for Elite, Select, Registered, and Distribution partners.
  • Serve as the "voice of Japan" to Global Partner Program teams, gathering local requirements to help define and refine competitive programs.
  • Lead the localization of PowerUp program policies, processes, and Rules of Engagement (RoE).
  • Work closely with APAC Partner Operations and Enablement leads to track and measure partner requirements, such as certifications and assessments, ensuring partners maintain their tier status.
  • Track the performance of each partner and provide essential support and documentation for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Act as the local owner of the Partner Portal, providing guidance on Japan-specific requirements to the global team.
  • Conduct regular enablement activities for Cloudflare internal employees on how to effectively engage and work with Channel partners.
  • Collaborate with APAC Partner Marketing to drive pipeline generation activities with Japanese partners.
  • Assist in managing and evolving partner agreements and contracting processes in coordination with Legal and Operations teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the technology sector.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience building or operating multi-type and multi-tier partner programs (e.g., GSIs, Service Providers, ISVs, etc.).
  • Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English.
  • Proven experience communicating and collaborating with multi-region stakeholders (Global/APAC) to drive projects forward.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment, and maintain a positive, problem-solving attitude.
  • Highly coordinated, self-driven, and operational with strong attention to detail and the ability to influence others.
