About the role
- Technical leader in Developer Experience responsible for optimizing frameworks and CI/CD processes at Clari. Collaborate with engineers to enhance development workflows in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, optimize, and own platforms, frameworks, libraries, and services used by applications throughout Clari
- Lead large, cross-functional projects that identify and overcome friction points in development processes
- Shape the future of engineering across Clari by evangelizing best practices, establishing patterns, improving standards, and guiding teams towards achieving their fullest potential
- Collaborate synchronously and asynchronously with team members across multiple timezones
- Work with Architects, Product Development Teams, and other Software Engineers to gather requirements, design and build scalable, distributed systems
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building cloud-based enterprise applications or systems using Java
- Experience building distributed systems and microservices
- Experience with Kotlin, Ruby, Typescript, and/or Javascript a plus
- Skilled in designing stateful and stateless services using frameworks like Spring Boot, exposing REST and gRPC APIs
- Demonstrated experience configuring Bazel or related build tools (Gradle, Maven), testing, static code analysis, and reporting as it relates to pipeline automation
- Experience working with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, TeamCity, or other pipeline tools
- Passion for using metrics and data to solve challenging problems, make decisions, and iterate quickly
- Experience working in a remote-first or distributed environment
