About the role
- Platform Engineer building and managing Dev Container Infrastructure and optimizing Developer Workplace at PostFinance. Working with cutting edge technologies and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- You build and operate the Dev Container infrastructure (Docker images, features, Golden Paths) for our tech stacks
- You automate the developer workplace setup on Linux, Windows and macOS — zero-touch, self-service, OS-independent
- You design for the future: hardware-agnostic architecture for cloud workplaces
- You ensure optimal AI tools and IDE integration
- You live by “we operate what we build”: support, feedback cycles, continuous improvement
Requirements
- Higher education in IT (e.g., university, university of applied sciences, ETH) or comparable practical experience
- Strong Linux skills and experience with container technologies (Docker, Dev Containers, Kubernetes)
- Development experience in at least one stack: Java, Python, Go or Node.js
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (implementation, optimization)
- Test-driven development mindset — quality and security are built in
- Developer-first mindset: you always ask, “How will this affect the developer experience?”
- Very good German and confident English (written and spoken)
