Applications Systems Analyst responsible for managing application platforms and collaborating with IT and business teams at CLA. Ensuring functionality and availability of business operations while facilitating communication and implementation of changes.
Responsibilities
Serve as the escalation point for the Service Desk on outages, issues, questions, and requests related to supported applications.
Monitor and manage application platforms to ensure full functionality and availability for business operations.
Collect, evaluate, and coordinate enhancement requests across business units.
Implement application configuration changes as part of scheduled releases.
Act as the point person for coordinating patching, releases, and development efforts with vendors and IT teams.
Test critical business functions and provide final approval for successful implementations.
Serve as the primary contact with application vendors, maintaining awareness of current contracts, licensing details, and planned release functionality.
Represent supported applications in change control meetings.
Assist in estimating effort for enhancements and system changes.
Create release notes to communicate fixes and new capabilities to business users.
Collaborate with IT Trainers to produce user documentation and self-help resources.
Review business requirement qualification documentation from Business Analysts to ensure alignment with platform direction.
Moderate prioritization meetings across multiple service lines to determine targeted enhancements for upcoming releases.
Understand and evaluate relationships, dependencies, and impacts across neighboring business functions.
Requirements
3 years of relevant experience in applications support, system analysis, or IT operations required.
Experience planning, facilitating, documenting and managing business, functional and technical requirements preferred.
Experience in test planning, test case development and execution preferred.
Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Deep business and technical knowledge of the application platform and its usage in the firm.
Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, release management, and vendor coordination.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical details into business-friendly language.
