About the role

  • Collateral Operations Analyst managing trade verifications, confirmations, and settlements in Pune, India. Collaborating with internal teams and ensuring compliance with various regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform trade verifications to ensure accuracy of booking requests.
  • Generate and match trade confirmations according to the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) templates.
  • Complete settlement tasks and daily rate revaluations accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution.
  • Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record retention activities in accordance with established policies.
  • Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports.
  • Participate in the periodic General Ledger (GL) proofing exercises as directed.
  • Manage daily collateral calls, including issuance, reconciliation, and dispute resolution for derivatives, repo, and securities lending transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with ISDA, CSA, GMRA, and other relevant legal agreements and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Dodd-Frank, EMIR).
  • Monitor exposure and proactively address margin call exceptions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Trading, Legal, Risk, Operations) and external counterparties to resolve collateral-related issues.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and control.
  • Prepare and analyze collateral management reports.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in collateral management or a related operations role within a financial institution.
  • In-depth knowledge of collateralized products, including OTC derivatives, repo, and securities lending.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard collateral systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in NAM Hours and manage multiple priorities.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experiences.
  • Relevant experience preferred.
  • Fundamental understanding of Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies.
  • Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of macros.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance.
