About the role

  • Coordinator overseeing partner support and event activities for Cirque du Soleil. Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure smooth operations and project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact between external partners and Cirque du Soleil’s internal teams and departments (casting/artist management, health and safety, performance medicine, coaching, costume/makeup workshop, shipping/receiving, talent, IT, finance, legal) for any operational matters;
  • Plan, organize and coordinate daily project and team activities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including: implementing recommendations and action plans following governance visits, following up on show reports, updating projects’ technical/creative documentation, and implementing procedures/processes (SharePoint ops, service re-billing);
  • Coordinate and execute department and project activities such as ad hoc partner support requests, integration of new acts, replacement of specialized equipment, and concept evolutions;
  • Draft, translate, proofread and edit various texts and documents (press releases, biographies, promotional materials, marketing tools, etc.);
  • Write, format and prepare presentations for partners and clients while ensuring brand consistency;
  • Coordinate administrative and logistical activities related to travel for team members and project collaborators (employees, artists, designers, vendors, etc.);
  • Track expenses, budgets, contracts and billing associated with projects (ad hoc, concept reserves, billable CDS services, etc.);
  • Plan and monitor designers, collaborators, freelancers, etc. for projects (e.g., concept reserves) to support partner‑operated projects;
  • Produce and update various reports, lists and project data (sales, expenses, access, etc.);
  • Maintain historical project data and store documentation in SharePoint;
  • Provide on-site support during press conferences, events, rehearsals, etc.;
  • Identify improvement opportunities and make recommendations to enhance the department’s and projects’ efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Implement processes and procedures that consider the operational realities of projects and the department.

Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC).
  • 4–6 years of experience in a similar role; experience at Cirque du Soleil is a significant asset.
  • Experience in entertainment, touring, or circus is an asset.
  • Experience in marketing or communications is an asset.
  • High degree of autonomy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English (bilingual).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage priorities under pressure and in ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrated skills in work organization, planning and problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
  • Strong knowledge of the MS Office environment, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • This role may require occasional weekend availability to meet project needs. Candidates should be prepared to be flexible with their schedules to ensure successful completion of tasks and projects.
