About the role

  • Fleet Manager leading strategy and performance of vehicle operations at CertaSite. Managing fleet programs across multi-state service footprint for safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of fleet management for CertaSite, including vehicle lifecycle planning, acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, fuel, repairs, disposal, and replacement strategy.
  • Partner with APi Group to implement enterprise fleet strategies, fleet policies, preferred supplier relationships, and standardized programs across CertaSite.
  • Act as the primary CertaSite point of contact for fleet-related coordination with APi Group, internal branch leaders, procurement partners, and external vendors.
  • Develop and maintain fleet policies, standards, and procedures that support operational consistency, cost control, and compliance.
  • Partner closely with the Risk and Safety team to support driver qualification, safe driving practices, incident management, corrective actions, and DOT compliance requirements.
  • Oversee compliance related to driver records, MVR review processes, vehicle inspections, registration, licensing, telematics, and other fleet-related regulatory requirements.
  • Help manage and monitor DOT fleet requirements where applicable, ensuring timely documentation, audit readiness, and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze fleet data and performance metrics including total cost of ownership, maintenance spend, fuel usage, downtime, utilization, accident trends, and vendor performance.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve fleet efficiency, reduce costs, enhance driver safety, and improve the teammate experience.
  • Support sourcing, ordering, upfitting, and delivery of vehicles and equipment in alignment with approved specifications and operational needs.
  • Manage relationships with leasing companies, OEMs, upfitters, maintenance providers, fuel partners, telematics providers, and other preferred suppliers.
  • Collaborate with branch and field leadership to understand operational demands and align fleet availability and specifications with business requirements.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and capital planning related to the fleet function.
  • Maintain accurate fleet records and reporting, including asset inventories, assignment records, maintenance histories, and supplier documentation.
  • Provide regular reporting and recommendations to Finance leadership and key business stakeholders on fleet performance, compliance, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in fleet management, transportation, operations, procurement, or a related field.
  • Experience managing a distributed vehicle fleet across multiple locations or states.
  • Working knowledge of fleet lifecycle management, leasing structures, maintenance programs, fuel management, and supplier performance management.
  • Experience partnering with Safety, Risk, Finance, Procurement, and Operations leaders.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, driver compliance requirements, vehicle recordkeeping, and fleet-related risk management practices.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
  • Experience using fleet management systems, telematics platforms, and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive standardization in a decentralized operating environment.
