About the role

  • Accounting Specialist responsible for accurate bookkeeping and collaboration with finance team at SPOTLIO. Working in a hybrid role based in Barcelona, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
  • Perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.
  • Collaborate closely with the Financial Accountant and support process improvements across the finance function.
  • Report directly to the Finance Manager.

Requirements

  • Work experience as an Accountant.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Experience working with accounting tools, ERPs, or expense management platforms (Payhawk and Quickbooks preferred).
  • Experience collaborating with external tax advisors (Spain and Switzerland preferred).
  • Advanced MS Excel or Google sheets skills.
  • Experience with general ledger functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple entities and currencies.
  • University degree in Business Administration or Financial Management and Accounting.
