About the role
- Accounting Specialist responsible for accurate bookkeeping and collaboration with finance team at SPOTLIO. Working in a hybrid role based in Barcelona, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
- Perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.
- Collaborate closely with the Financial Accountant and support process improvements across the finance function.
- Report directly to the Finance Manager.
Requirements
- Work experience as an Accountant.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Experience working with accounting tools, ERPs, or expense management platforms (Payhawk and Quickbooks preferred).
- Experience collaborating with external tax advisors (Spain and Switzerland preferred).
- Advanced MS Excel or Google sheets skills.
- Experience with general ledger functions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple entities and currencies.
- University degree in Business Administration or Financial Management and Accounting.
