About the role

  • Sales Account Manager responsible for building customer sales strategies for Cargill's protein business. Managing customer portfolios and facilitating growth through effective communication and relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Develop customer sales strategies and build relationships based on the company's values.
  • Manage a portion of our customer portfolio and drive new customer growth through prospecting.
  • Process customer orders, manage overall order fill rate, and delivery service.
  • Gather and communicate changes in the marketplace and customer behavior.
  • Nurture customer relationships utilizing the Cargill Sales Framework, logging interactions on Salesforce.
  • Learn the protein markets/trends and consult with retail space/food service/manufacturing customers.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues while escalating more complex issues as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish.
  • Proven negotiation and selling skills and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Preferred).
  • SAP experience (Preferred).
  • Protein trading experience (Preferred).
  • Data analytics experience (Preferred).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Preferred).
  • Salesforce experience (Preferred).
