Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed yearly fundraising goals for the IRC in Kansas.
- Develop annual fundraising plans with specific and measurable goals and objectives.
- Implement multi-office strategies linked to fundraising plans.
- Oversee preparation of letters of inquiry, proposals, budgets, and reports to funders.
- Identify, cultivate, and sustain individual donors through various means.
- Ensure the Development team works effectively to meet cash and in-kind matching requirements.
- Oversee annual fundraisers, donor appeals, and special events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; graduate degree in Development, Nonprofit Management, Business Management, International Relations, or a related field a plus.
- Minimum of five (5) years of nonprofit experience in fundraising, grant writing, public relations, or volunteer coordination.
- Prior supervisory or people management experience strongly preferred.
- Proven success in donor and foundation relations, including securing funded grant proposals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and online research tools.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
- Experience working effectively in multicultural environments.
