About the role

  • Account Executive responsible for selling health benefit plans for small to midsized employer groups in Alberta. Manage leads, close business, and retain existing clients while fostering career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming sales leads from companies with 2-10 employees
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities
  • Complete and present sales quotations
  • Meet or exceed a quarterly sales quota
  • Collaborate with all sales and service staff to ensure sales objectives are met
  • Manage renewals with a focus on retaining existing business
  • Attend sales conferences and functions as required

Requirements

  • Previous health insurance policies and procedures experience preferred
  • Full Life and Accident & Sickness insurance licensing (LLQP) mandatory prior to commencement
  • Strong aptitude for sales
  • Self-motivated and positive attitude
  • Comfortable making sales and follow up calls over the phone and in person
  • Ability to work independently
