About the role
- Data Architect defining and implementing architecture for the client's Unified Data Platform on Microsoft Azure. Collaborating across teams to ensure scalability, security, and compliance in the platform.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the architecture for the client's Group’s Unified Data Platform (UDP) on Microsoft Azure
- Design and maintain the end-to-end architecture of the Unified Data Platform
- Define data ingestion patterns, storage strategies, and integration frameworks
- Establish data governance, security, and compliance standards within the platform
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for infrastructure provisioning
- Provide architectural guidance for data modeling, API design, and advanced analytics integration
- Conduct fit-gap analysis and roadmap planning for platform enhancements
- Act as a design authority to ensure consistency across multiple DevOps teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture and cloud solutions
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services
- Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and serverless architectures
- Proficiency in PowerShell or Python scripting for automation
- Knowledge of network topologies, firewalls, IAM, and security best practices
- Experience with data governance frameworks and GDPR compliance
- Familiarity with front-end BI tools (Power BI, QlikView/QlikSense)
