About the role

  • Head of Marketing driving digital marketing strategies and leading high performing teams within an innovative finance company. Aiming to maximize ROI and brand equities for customer acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and delivery of the UK Marketing strategy - owning a large marketing budget, with a focus on maximizing ROI and Brand equities
  • Lead the execution of market leading digital marketing for new customers across existing and emerging channels
  • Develop and drive forwards our brand strategy - bringing to life our Capital One values
  • Be accountable for ensuring marketing is compliant with internal policies and regulations
  • Proactively identify high leverage growth opportunities - working internally and externally on engagement, negotiation and due diligence to bring these opportunities to fruition
  • Develop and manage our key strategic relationships - co-developing growth roadmaps with our exciting partnerships
  • Own risk management processes, controls and budget management for all UK Marketing activities
  • Sponsor internal and external growth investments - working with product managers on and a cross functional team to bring these to market
  • You will be at the forefront of market developments - bringing in external insights and driving investments to keep pace with market developments (specifically, with a focus on AI led marketing channels and tools)
  • Develop and lead and elevate high performing cross functional teams (Marketing, Analyst, Brand, Creative, Operations, Legal, Technology) to drive marketing programs

Requirements

  • An experienced marketing leader with proven track record of driving growth across the marketing funnel in a highly regulated industry
  • Ability to thrive in a high-performing analytical environment that encourages creativity with integrated data-led decision making
  • Demonstrable experience building and leading strong teams at scale in a high performance environment
  • Ability to identify key areas of leverage - engage with senior stakeholders for buy-in - and then able to translate these into a set of clear objectives and deliverables
  • A strong understanding of brand strategy with a clear understanding of how to drive performance across the marketing mix
  • Highly data literate and able to understand and optimise performance across campaigns and channels in order to drive results
  • Ability to balance of strong data and analytical skills, with the empathy to understand our customers and our brand
  • You are a strong communicator who can drive understanding of the brand, the customer and our growth plans within the organisation
  • Significant experience managing complex risk management processes - with experience of (or willingness to learn quickly) how to operate within Financial Promotion regulations
