About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans aligned with strategic goals.
- Build robust financial models for revenue forecasting, cost planning, unit economics, and scenario analysis.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to guide decision-making at the executive and board levels.
- Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closes.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls, audit trails, reconciliation processes, and documentation standards.
- Ensure full compliance with tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions, including corporate tax, VAT/GST, payroll taxes, and digital asset-specific tax requirements.
- Manage the company’s crypto and fiat treasury, including liquidity management, custody arrangements, yield strategies, and secure internal approval workflows.
- Act as the primary point of contact for banks, payment partners, exchanges, and liquidity providers.
- Produce monthly management reports, and board-level reports including financial deck.
Requirements
- 10+ years in finance roles (Financial controller, Treasury, Accounting, Tax Reporting).
- 5+ years experience managing finance teams.
- Experience in high-growth fintech or crypto startups or financial brokerages
- Proven ability to build and scale finance teams and systems.
- Experience managing multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction operations is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional designations such as CPA, ACCA or CFA are a significant advantage and highly valued.
- Deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, GAAP/IFRS, cash management, and internal controls.
- Familiarity with crypto transaction flows, custody models, and Web3 financial tooling (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Strong analytical skills and mastery of financial modelling.
- Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on in a startup environment.
