About the role
- Process Engineer ensuring safety compliance and conducting risk assessments in industrial operations. Supporting security services and managing safety training with collaboration among engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Work integrated with operations, monitoring the implementation of recommendations from safety studies (APR/JSA, HAZOP, Bowtie and related methods), ensuring review deadlines are met and effective closure of action plans.
- Plan, coordinate and execute safety support services for operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and applicable legislation (NRs and other legal requirements).
- Support internal and external audits; prepare and review procedures, technical opinions and reports.
- Lead change management with a focus on incorporating risk controls and safeguards.
- Consolidate and analyze HSE indicators for managerial decision-making.
- Monitor critical equipment and their contingencies.
- Authorize and supervise high-risk activities (e.g., confined spaces, hot work and potentially explosive atmospheres).
- Investigate incidents/accidents to determine causes and propose corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in emergency response plans and drills and ensure continuous team training.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience conducting risk analyses, such as HAZOP, APR/APP (JSA), HAZID, BOWTIE; experience with ACH and HSE in industrial environments (oil & gas, chemical, mining or similar).
- Strong knowledge of applicable NRs and risk analysis tools.
- Analytical ability for data processing and report preparation.
- Clear communication skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Production or related fields).
- Specialization in Occupational Safety is desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Intermediate English.
