About the role
- Director of Student Financial Services leading operational leadership in managing student financial accounts. Collaborating across departments to ensure compliance and optimize student financial experience in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing team responsible for student billing, disbursements, and account management across the full student lifecycle.
- Provide hands-on leadership for complex cases, inactive accounts, and exceptions that require nuanced resolution.
- Ensure operational accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely processing through effective oversight and process monitoring.
- Collaborate across departments to deliver a seamless and transparent financial experience for students.
- Drive continuous improvement through documentation, training, and workflow optimization.
- Lead system and process enhancements to strengthen data integrity, reconciliation, and scalability.
Requirements
- Substantial experience managing student financial accounts, including Title IV R2T4 calculations, proration, short funding resolution, credit balance reconciliation, and delinquent accounts.
- Advanced knowledge of federal Title IV regulations and institutional billing and disbursement policies.
- Leadership experience in a managerial or director-level role within a student accounts or financial operations team.
- Experience collaborating with departments such as Financial Aid, Registrar, and Finance to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
