About the role
- Project Manager leading Data Center projects for Bureau Veritas, ensuring compliance and stakeholder management throughout project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead the project from site mobilization through to Ready for Service (RFS) and final handover.
- Ensure the project complies with Uptime Institute Tier III/IV design documents and local building codes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client, consultants, and local utility providers.
- Oversee contract administration, ensuring all parties adhere to the scope of work and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Work closely with the Planning & Control team to ensure the project stays within budget and meets all critical milestones.
- Approve major procurement strategies for Long-Lead Equipment (LLE) like Transformers and Generators.
- Drive the Commissioning Management process, ensuring all systems pass through Integrated Systems Test (IST).
- Implement a robust Risk Mitigation Plan to handle technical, financial, and environmental risks.
- Champion a high-standard Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) culture on-site.
- Evaluate and authorize Variation Orders (VO), ensuring changes are technically feasible and financially accounted for.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in construction management
- At least 5 years specifically leading Data Center projects or high-tech industrial facilities
- Mandatory PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification
- Certifications from Uptime Institute (ATD/ATS) or CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional) are highly preferred
- Deep understanding of Mission-Critical Power (HV/MV, UPS, STS), Precision Cooling (Chiller/CRAH), and Fire Suppression Systems
- Familiarity with BIM and LEED standards
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Native or professional fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential
