Responsibilities
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of the Network Engineering team within critical infrastructure, consisting of (Senior) Network Administrators
- Design, deployment and operation of communications infrastructures and private cloud infrastructures with a high level of protection
- Securing the deployed technology stack and hardening of highly secure network environments, as well as ensuring stable, uninterrupted operation of the network infrastructure
- Responsibility for provisioning and adapting network environments for testing and integrating new or updated products and technologies
- Participation in lifecycle management of deployed software and hardware systems and coordination of change management processes
- Reporting on current developments and providing trend analyses for performance indicators
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a comparable field; alternatively, a completed IT vocational qualification (e.g., Fachinformatiker)
- Relevant leadership experience and practical experience operating complex IT network infrastructures and platforms
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure
- Ideally, experience with monitoring systems, performing root-cause analyses, and working with change management processes
- Willingness to take part in occasional unscheduled deployments or on-call duties to ensure operational continuity
- Ability to present complex IT topics appropriately to different audiences, team-oriented working style and a modern leadership approach
