About the role

  • Seeking interim Marketing Data & Analytics Manager for 9-month maternity cover at Bulk. Manage customer data and insights for marketing, CRM, and product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the hands-on delivery and upkeep of DBT models, Tableau dashboards and analysis in BigQuery, ensuring data is reliable and up to date.
  • Provide day-to-day line management and prioritisation support to the Consumer Data Analyst.
  • Ensure documentation, data governance practices and model definitions remain clear and up to date.
  • Provide day-to-day operational stewardship of our consumer data platform (Adobe CDP), working hands-on with the Consumer Data Analyst to build, validate and maintain consumer audiences.
  • Maintain a practical working understanding of how consumer data flows through the CDP and how it connects with surrounding systems (CRM, paid media, analytics tools) to ensure accurate activation and reporting.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines flowing in and out of the platform, fixing issues as they arise, and ensuring all downstream data for Tableau dashboards, weekly reporting and analysis stays accurate and consistent, escalating or collaborating with technical teams as required.
  • Support wider business in activating segments and resolving data-related queries.
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing Insights to deliver key insights on consumer behaviour.
  • Manage ad hoc analysis requests from across the business, set realistic timelines, and ensure deadlines are consistently met while managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Maintain existing processes and ensure consistency in ongoing reporting and insight delivery.
  • Prepare a structured handover as the returning manager resumes the role.

Requirements

  • Ideally, you'll have around 5 years of experience working in data or analytics roles within e-commerce, digital retail or consumer-focused businesses.
  • Solid understanding of customer data, segmentation, CRM workflows and marketing analytics.
  • Familiarity with customer data platforms (Adobe CDP preferred, but Segment, mParticle, Treasure Data or similar all relevant).
  • Comfortable working with SQL, data pipelines and data-quality principles.
  • A hands-on, delivery-focused approach - able to step in quickly, maintain momentum and resolve issues pragmatically.
  • Able to work collaboratively with marketing and product teams, translating their questions into actionable data tasks.
  • Able to step into a fixed-term role and quickly understand existing processes and needs.
