Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth technical analyses and provide accurate, relevant tax advisory services on direct and/or indirect taxes
- Lead and supervise tax due diligence projects, identifying and assessing tax risks related to transactions and business operations
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax burden and maximize benefits for our clients
- Contribute to maximizing outcomes by proposing alternatives for better use of tax offsets and tax incentives
- Provide analyses of tax legislation and its application across clients' industries by monitoring legislative changes and researching complex topics
- Advise on specific tax matters, offering clear legal solutions and strategic guidance
- Support the tax litigation team
- Ensure client relationship management and identify business development opportunities
Requirements
- Law degree (graduated between 2016 and 2020) with active registration in the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- Additional coursework in Accounting
- Experience with legislation on direct and/or indirect taxes and payroll charges (ICMS, PIS and COFINS, IPI, IRPJ and CSLL)
- Knowledge of Tax Reform
- Experience in tax advisory with combined work for individuals, estate/asset planning and corporate entities
- Experience in tax consultancies and/or law firms
- Availability to work in a hybrid model and travel occasionally
