Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive reviews of conflict questionnaires and conflict reports to identify and resolve potential business and ethical conflicts
Draft and review conflicts memoranda, waiver letters, and notice letters
Advise on conflicts of interest analysis and related Firm policies
Communicate required next steps to lawyers and staff before a lateral attorney may join the Firm
Advise on issues under the rules of professional responsibility
Work with lateral candidates and Firm personnel to facilitate the onboarding of new hires
Requirements
Juris Doctorate (J.D.)
minimum three years of legal work experience after law school preferred
active law license in the jurisdiction in which the candidate is located
excellent oral and written communication skills
exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
strong organizational skills
working knowledge of the rules of professional conduct
previous conflicts experience including reviewing conflict reports, researching corporate affiliations, drafting waivers, and advising Firm lawyers on conflict or relationship issues
