About the role
- Experienced Strategic Sourcing and Contracting Specialist managing end-to-end procurement activities for Boeing's Indirect Supply Chain Logistics. Involves stakeholder engagement, sourcing strategy, and contract management.
Responsibilities
- Build and sustain stakeholder and supplier relationships both in-person and remotely
- Facilitate dialogue to refine business requirements and support category strategy development
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, and market offerings for informed sourcing decisions
- Develop and negotiate long-term agreements and strategic contracts that satisfy customer needs
- Oversee stakeholder engagement and contract lifecycle management for compliance and performance
- Recommend and implement supply chain process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and develop strategic implementation plans
- Ability to travel 25-50% of the time if located outside of Wichita, KS
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, or contracts
- 1+ years of experience in logistics (procurement, operations, strategy)
- 1+ years of project management experience
- 1+ years of experience in a role that required strong communication skills
- 5+ years of experience negotiating, interpreting, and editing terms and conditions leveraging the support of a contracts team (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience collaborating with logistics suppliers and negotiating logistics contracts (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements (preferred)
- Project leadership skills and the ability to build positive working relationships (preferred)
