About the role

  • Material Estimating and Pricing Specialist supporting U.S. Government type contracts and proposal activities. Leading material estimating tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams for pricing accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Leads development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design, build and support stages of the program
  • Leads development and application of pricing strategies using innovative computational techniques
  • Leads business proposals, evaluates and makes recommendations based on complex requests for proposal and substantiates estimates and pricing
  • Builds and develops complex pricing models
  • Leads and performs complex analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, driven, etc.)
  • Resolves database requirements and identifies new data sources
  • Leads compliance activities, policy and procedure development, deployment of new systems/tools, training development/delivery and internal audits
  • Develops estimates from historical data, parametric analysis, technical requirements and diverse sources of data
  • Prepares complex Priced Bill of Material estimate and Prime Termination Proposals
  • Performs risk and opportunity analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in at least one of the following fields: Business, Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics
  • 3+ years of experience performing cost estimating/pricing function
  • 5 or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (Preferred)
  • Experience working in multifaceted teams across multiple functions (Preferred)
  • Experience leading projects with little direct supervision and drive project to completion (Preferred)
  • Experience with the proposal process and using data analysis to drive decision making (Preferred)
  • Experience with United States Government (USG) Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) (Preferred)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project (Preferred)
