Responsibilities
- Automate flight data translations within the Boeing Global Services
- Deliver cutting-edge flight data analytics products to commercial aviation customers
- Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, product management, and airline customers in an agile environment
- Ensure high quality aviation domain data is available for advanced aviation data insights
- Gain a deep understanding of customers, their flight operations, and analytics needs
- Configure, test and validate aircraft safety, maintenance, sustainability and reliability data models
- Define and validate experiments using Machine Learning
- Ensure data integrity across the entire data pipeline
- Identify and troubleshoot data integrity issues
- Perform hands-on technical work, including working with data and building utilities
- Work closely with the lead data architect and product managers to shape future directions
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 1+ years of progressive experience in software development and design
- Experienced working with aerospace systems ARINC standards (ARINC 717, 767)
- 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Working experience with cloud solutions
- Experience with programming, eg java or python, SQL
- Experience in data science and/or data analytics
- Advanced experience in business intelligence tools, statistics and data modelling
- Experience working in a global technology organization and managing many stakeholders
- Experience with airline safety, airline maintenance engineering, avionics or aircraft flight data recording
- Experience with Airbus and Boeing aircraft operations
