About the role
- Intern working on data analysis for V8/V12 engine development at BMW Group. Involved in data interpretation and tool development for efficient data processing.
Responsibilities
- You will support the analysis of large-scale test-drive data from prototype trials and automatically identify relevant events, patterns, and correlations
- You will contribute to the interpretation of the derived data and extract well-founded insights for the further development of the engine and transmission application in the V8/V12 powertrain
- You will help evaluate existing BMW internal analysis tools regarding their performance and suitability
- You will support the development of new analysis features or prototype tools that enable efficient and scalable data processing
- You will contribute in a coordinated way to the creation of a structured analysis framework that improves the quality, reproducibility, and significance of future data evaluations
- Your results will lead to concrete recommendations for the targeted and efficient further development of the application
Requirements
- Enrolled in a technical degree program (Engineering)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s program
- Confident user of MS Office; ideally prior experience with MATLAB/Simulink
- Driver’s license (Class B)
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for modern powertrain development and automobiles
- Good German and English language skills
