About the role

  • Backoffice Specialist in Corporate Finance at berlinovo, responsible for financial systems optimization and reporting. Collaborating with teams to manage loans, treasury transactions, and financial risks in Berlin.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the finance systems used by the department (LIS, Reuters, SAP)
  • Review and post loan and treasury transactions recorded in the systems
  • Verify balance confirmations, account statements and reconciliations for loan and treasury transactions
  • Maintain master data in the systems used
  • Contribute to internal and external reporting (ad hoc reports, EMIR, LZB, Section 53 HGrG, etc.)
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing tasks for financial transactions
  • Bank reporting – fulfill requirements in accordance with Section 18 of the German Banking Act (KWG)
  • Responsible for entering risk-relevant data in the systems, e.g. counterparty limits, counterparty ratings, etc.
  • Monitor financial risks and risk reporting
  • Support projects on cross-team finance topics
  • Conduct process mapping, monitoring and optimization
  • Monitor developments in financial and regulatory frameworks and update internal policies when changes occur

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as an insurance and finance clerk or similar qualification, or an equivalent qualification acquired through professional experience
  • Knowledge of financial mathematics
  • Knowledge of banking operations
  • Confident presence and assertiveness
  • Confident use of relevant software tools (MS Office) and good SAP skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and an independent, structured working style
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, entrepreneurial mindset and actions, high trustworthiness and the ability to work in a team
