About the role
- Operations & Monitoring Engineer for BearingPoint Products in a hybrid role. Responsible for monitoring SAP BTP applications and providing technical support in Romania.
Responsibilities
- Monitor SAP BTP applications and services across all environments to ensure availability and performance
- Provide real-time technical support and respond promptly to alerts and incidents
- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot incidents, resolving them directly or escalating according to documented procedures
- Create, manage, and update tickets using Kibana or other ticketing tools
- Assign tickets to the appropriate teams and actively follow up until resolution and closure
- Ensure timely incident resolution and maintain high-quality documentation of all actions taken
- Collaborate closely with Development, Operations, QA, and Release Management teams to ensure transparency and effective issue resolution
- Document incidents, recurring issues, and root causes, and propose process or technical improvements
- Maintain strong internal communication to ensure effective shift handovers and 24/7 operational continuity
- Test and validate new requirements, changes, or enhancements as part of operational readiness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in software development or IT operations
- Good understanding of business functional areas and enterprise-level processes
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience working with SQL databases at a basic to intermediate level
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly and support knowledge sharing within the team
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as required
- Excellent written and spoken English.
