Mortgage Loan Officer working with the local area mortgage production team. Supporting CRA specific market outreach and community education opportunities for low to moderate income borrowers.
Responsibilities
This role will encompass hybrid activity combining mortgage production mortgage and community outreach.
The position will support the local area mortgage production team in CRA specific market outreach as well as community education opportunities targeted specifically to low to moderate income borrowers and areas.
Work in collaboration with industry (realtors and builders) and non-industry (local area employers and non-profits) groups via marketing activities and bank approved Marketing Opportunities.
Requirements
High School Diploma required
Ability to obtain NMLS registration required
6 or more years of mortgage industry experience including basic understanding of programs, terminology, market conditions (including impact with changing economic realities), Loan Origination Software (LOS) and the impact of CRA programs and their requirements
Ability to develop and manage file quality.
Ability to communicate and train employees in client service, sales and operations with product knowledge targeted to low to moderate income communities.
Ability to solve client services issues as well as mortgage specific analytical problems as they relate to job duties and the intended low to moderate income communities.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation and systems as they relate to mortgage finance.
Demonstrate ability to create strong relationships using interpersonal skills and communication.
Knowledge of mathematical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
