About the role

  • Area Chief of Staff leading and managing veterinarians in Banfield hospitals to ensure quality veterinary care. Collaborating with practice managers to drive operational performance and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and manage associate veterinarians in their hospitals
  • Drive the culture and delivery of quality care by the veterinary provider team
  • Oversee the coaching program for newly hired veterinarians
  • Partner with the Director of Veterinary Quality and Talent Acquisition team to recruit veterinary talent
  • Deliver veterinary operations KPI's of assigned hospitals
  • Ensure compliance to Banfield's clinical essentials, government regulations and legislation
  • Champion preventive care culture and manage medical equipment inventory
  • Establish trust and gain the confidence and compliance of clients

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent foreign degree required.
  • Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with all applicable state veterinary boards for assigned hospitals.
  • 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery practice.
