About the role
- Area Chief of Staff leading and managing associate veterinarians in hospitals to ensure quality care at Banfield Pet Hospital. Drive culture and compliance with veterinary standards in North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and manage associate veterinarians in their hospitals.
- Ensure Banfield can attract, develop, engage and retain doctors that will deliver quality care.
- Drive the culture and delivery of quality care by the veterinary provider team (DVM, CVT, VA).
- Partner with the Practice Manager to ensure every pet receives consistent care.
- Provide effective medical leadership to hospital teams and develop a culture of engagement.
- Validate clinical skillsets of doctors and veterinary staff through assessments and reviews.
- Manage the coaching program for newly hired veterinarians.
- Act as a brand ambassador in the local veterinary community.
- Deliver veterinary operations KPI's through leadership and partnership with practice managers.
- Ensure compliance with clinical essentials and veterinary industry standards.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent foreign degree required.
- Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with all applicable state veterinary boards for assigned hospitals.
- 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery practice.
