About the role

  • SBA Credit Analyst evaluating credit worthiness of commercial borrowers for BancFirst. Providing analysis and support for credit decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the on-going credit evaluation of existing and prospective customers.
  • Analyze the financial health of commercial borrowers and make recommendations for credit lines based on required criteria.
  • Interact with a variety of professionals and represent the bank in interactions with clients and other professionals.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers, Loan Officers, and other professionals to discuss potential SBA credit requests and provide guidance on SBA loan structures and requirements
  • Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money
  • Prepare financial analysis and financial ratio analysis
  • Prepare industry research
  • Underwrite credit requests to the standards of bank policy and procedures, as well as SBA SOP
  • Prepare loan memorandums
  • Review loan memorandums within BancFirst and provide additional underwriting to ensure the memorandum meets SBA standards.
  • Research, identification, and development of loan opportunities
  • Prepare term sheets for credit requests
  • Prepare annual Loan Reviews for SBA loans within the Commercial Capital portfolio, inclusive of needed financial analysis
  • Maintain accurate and up to date tracking of all credit applications and participate in weekly production meetings to discuss progress, priorities, and outstanding items.
  • Refer relevant customers to other BancFirst service providers (Insurance, Trust, Merchant Services, etc.), if not done so by the Loan Officer

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Agribusiness, or Agricultural Economics
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates an understanding of credit management, credit operations and commercial lending
  • Ability to perform in a highly sensitive environment and maintain confidentiality
  • High level of attention to detail, with strong problem solving and organization skills
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel
  • Complete all required compliance training by established deadlines
