About the role

  • Lead risk management strategies that ensure mission-critical programmes are delivered safely on time and to the highest standards.
  • Support the Senior Portfolio Manager in maintaining effective delivery across our complex infrastructure programs and projects at Devonport.
  • Drive risk management processes across complex defence and engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and industry standards.
  • Provide clear reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Champion continuous improvement in risk management practices.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of project controls principles, including cost, schedule, risk and change management.
  • Proven experience in managing infrastructure risk within complex, secure environments.
  • Proficient in data modelling, analytics and visualisation tools to support informed decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 31000 or equivalent risk management frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Degree-level education preferred, or demonstrable experience in business change disciplines.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., MoP, PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, P3O) considered an advantage.
