About the role

  • Technical Sales Account Manager at Axalta serving Korean OEMs. Providing technical service and leading business opportunities across multiple customer plants in an international environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily technical service, including monitoring line performance of Axalta materials
  • Act as the technical and sales interface between Axalta and four key customers, with flexibility to support additional accounts if required
  • Conduct weekly alignment meetings with the Business Director
  • Report operational and technical issues to Korean Paint Shop Management following internal alignment
  • Manage commercial reporting and alignment with Korean Procurement Management
  • Align closely with Axalta on-site teams and local customer staff
  • Coordinate material modifications between customer production lines and Wuppertal
  • Lead productivity improvement projects at customer sites
  • Identify, develop, and lead business opportunities
  • Follow up on critical technical and quality issues
  • Support new product qualification and innovation programs
  • Liaise with Marketing to drive value-added improvements to the product line
  • Coordinate and support new color projects across Wuppertal, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Korea
  • Lead price quotation preparation and submission
  • Handle and coordinate issues involving Axalta Korea and KCC
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality support for all four customers
  • Support global account alignment, including international collaboration and travel

Requirements

  • Native-level proficiency in Korean (spoken and written) – mandatory
  • Strong English skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively
  • Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in automotive coatings, paint shop operations, or the chemical industry
  • Background in account management, technical sales, or customer-facing roles
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality management, and continuous improvement
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to work effectively in international, cross-cultural environments
