About the role

  • International Communications Specialist supporting federal government client in Washington, DC. Responsible for developing outreach materials and stakeholder engagement strategies alongside the team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive outreach and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Develop clear, concise, and standardized communication materials, such as memos, reports, and guidance documents, to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Draft and develop standardized visual communication templates and visual aids.
  • Create and manage a SharePoint site to house communication-related tools and records.
  • Create standardized templates and example documents for internal and external use, such as briefing memos, issue papers, white papers, talking points, remarks, statistical reports, and biographies.
  • Provide recommendations for social media strategy.
  • Assist with developing internal review and approval processes.
  • Develop informational graphics, images, and presentations.
  • Produce clear and digestible content for various channels including letters, emails, newsletters, websites, and other print materials.
  • Maintain consistent messaging and adapt materials to adhere to federal agency branding guidelines.
  • Prepare regular reports on communications activities, outcomes, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Three (3)+ years of communications, outreach, and/or stakeholder engagement experience supporting the federal government
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency with the full Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Exceptional editing and data analysis skills to ensure deliverables submitted to the client for final approval are error-free
  • Ability to obtain a public trust security clearance
