About the role
- Ensure Financial Planners are competent and compliant with regulatory requirements
- Supervise, assess, and coach Financial Planners
- Manage training records and support professional development through T&C Scheme
- Conduct mandatory observations, including live and recorded meeting reviews
- Complete periodic competency assessments and validate Financial Planner competency
- Prepare, deliver, and review Personal Development Plans (PDPs)
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
- Review CPD records quarterly
- Review and assess Fit & Proper declarations
- Produce quarterly KPI dashboards for senior stakeholders
- Support the delivery of knowledge, skills, and capability training sessions
- Provide coaching to support skills development and regulatory compliance
- Ensure timely completion of onboarding T&C activities for new Financial Planners
Requirements
- Minimum Level 4 qualification in Regulated Financial Planning
- Proven experience in financial services training, competence, or supervision roles
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to analyse information and make evidence-based decisions
- Confident coaching and training skills, delivered one-to-one, in groups, and remotely
- Skilled in building rapport and influencing a variety of stakeholders
- Committed to high standards of conduct and achieving excellent customer outcomes
- Desirable: Level 3 training and/or supervisory qualification (e.g., AF6, J07)
- Desirable: Experience using Intelliflo or similar CRM systems
- Desirable: Knowledge of retail mortgages
- Desirable: Experience supervising pension transfer specialists
