About the role

  • Ensure Financial Planners are competent and compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Supervise, assess, and coach Financial Planners
  • Manage training records and support professional development through T&C Scheme
  • Conduct mandatory observations, including live and recorded meeting reviews
  • Complete periodic competency assessments and validate Financial Planner competency
  • Prepare, deliver, and review Personal Development Plans (PDPs)
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
  • Review CPD records quarterly
  • Review and assess Fit & Proper declarations
  • Produce quarterly KPI dashboards for senior stakeholders
  • Support the delivery of knowledge, skills, and capability training sessions
  • Provide coaching to support skills development and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure timely completion of onboarding T&C activities for new Financial Planners

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 4 qualification in Regulated Financial Planning
  • Proven experience in financial services training, competence, or supervision roles
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse information and make evidence-based decisions
  • Confident coaching and training skills, delivered one-to-one, in groups, and remotely
  • Skilled in building rapport and influencing a variety of stakeholders
  • Committed to high standards of conduct and achieving excellent customer outcomes
  • Desirable: Level 3 training and/or supervisory qualification (e.g., AF6, J07)
  • Desirable: Experience using Intelliflo or similar CRM systems
  • Desirable: Knowledge of retail mortgages
  • Desirable: Experience supervising pension transfer specialists
