Responsibilities
- Work with contaminated land and hydrogeological technical leads and other disciplines in managing geo-environmental projects
- Develop trusted client relationships
- Project management and technical delivery of contaminated land projects
- Liaison with clients, stakeholders, regulators, and sub-contractors
- Champion high standards of performance and influence project development
- Mentor more junior staff and review their work
Requirements
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or science subject (e.g. geology, geography, hydrogeology, chemistry, earth sciences, environmental science)
- Post graduate qualification also desirable
- Chartership with a relevant professional body
- Relevant post-graduate experience (ideally within a consultancy environment)
- Strong technical, people and project management skillset
- Track record in winning and delivering high-profile work
- Technical leadership and delivery of Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Site Investigations, remediation design and verification/validation
- Good working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, technical guidance, industry standards and best practices for contaminated land, materials management and waste
- Good commercial understanding of geoenvironmental aspects of projects
