About the role

  • Principal Cost Manager responsible for client relationships and delivering cost management services. Working within the Cost Management team to drive business success in Energy and Infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for building long term, sustainable relationships with clients
  • Deliver work with existing and new clients within the Cost Management team
  • Ensure technical service offering meets the highest standards
  • Support business growth and manage team delivery
  • Foster a collaborative working environment
  • Monitor and manage Cost Management activity and associated expenditure
  • Mentor and develop Assistant Cost Managers and Cost Managers

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Principal Cost Manager preferably in Energy and Infrastructure sectors
  • Technical expertise in Cost Management services across complex infrastructure
  • Excellent understanding of industry benchmarks and methods of measurement
  • Strong network within the energy and/or infrastructure sectors
  • Leadership skills necessary to direct and manage project teams
  • Evidence of service innovation, technical excellence, and exceptional service delivery
  • Commercial, quantity surveying, and/or finance skills
  • Ability to develop and understand performance measurement using Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Degree qualified in a construction or finance related field
  • Preferably with RICS, ICE, AACE, CaSA or similar.
