About the role
- Engineering / Design Manager responsible for managing design on multi-disciplinary projects at AtkinsRéalis. Engaging in project execution and ensuring quality across infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for authoring and maintaining the Design Management Plan
- Contribute to the Project Execution Plan
- Ensure all discipline leads contribute to the Project BIM Execution Plan
- Deliver the Basis of Design and ensure Quality Assurance/Control processes
- Develop and track deliverables
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure operational requirements are integrated into design
- Promote and mentor the multi-disciplinary design team
- Liaise with discipline for resource management and monitor resource requirements
Requirements
- Chartered Engineer or Architect or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience managing design, build and/or operate commissions on multi-disciplinary projects
- Good knowledge of system integration as applied to multi-discipline designs
- Understanding of management processes related to technical integration
- Infrastructure sector experience in delivering major projects
- Experience with various forms of construction contracts, e.g. NEC3 or 4
- Familiarity with BIM and 3D modelling tools
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
